The black garlic reduction served with the confit cabbage was worth fighting for. The lamb skewer beautifully done. Steak tartar (entree) was a small serve but lovely. We also had the prawn cocktail which was good. More

What a gem of a place! Great service. Deliciously memorable fine dining food. Oh, and the views! We had the 5 course tasting menu with the matching wines and it didn't disappoint. We ordered a side of zucchini flower with crab and it was as mouthwatering as anticipated. It's a must for all who are visiting Moruya.

Let the photos speak for themselves.
The River Moruya is a real food experience. The tuna crudo was exceptional, served with the thinnest, crispiest homemade sweet potato chip that added the perfect texture and sweetness. The prawn cocktail was beautifully fresh and topped with finger lime, giving it that perfect combination of flavours. The stracciatella had a superb combination of flavours too. It was 4 of us and we tried 6 entries and 2 mains, every single dish was amazing 🤩
Honestly, every dish could be talked about for hours - the best thing is simply to go and try it for yourself. Add the beautiful river view and it becomes a truly memorable dining experience. They definitely know their food.

Had lunch here for the first time today. It was an exceptional and elevated dining experience and I’ll be coming back again and again. The produce was top quality, beautiful plate presentation and the flavours and textures were excellent! Great selection of beverages featuring few local produce. Perfect service - our hosts were warm and professional and they should be proud of what they’ve created here! I’m so happy and grateful to have a such a quality local restaurant (with gorgeous river and mountain views) to come to. Highly recommend this place!

It’s on a beautiful stretch of the river in a classic riverside timber building with great views. Really welcoming comfortable hip venue, without pretence.

Exceptional food. The new owners have excelled. We had the pistachio crumbed lamb skewers and mango curry prawns for entree and both were exquisite. For mains we had the eye fillet (amazing) and the crab linguini (spot on). Great to see a local icon is going from strength to strength! Keep up the good work!

Had a really pleasant experience at River Moruya. The food was good and well prepared, and the service was lovely.
The only downside was that it felt quite hot inside, even though the air conditioning was on, which made dining a bit uncomfortable. Anyways it was a hot summer day so I understand.
Other than that, everything else was nice and enjoyable. Overall, a great spot and definitely worth a visit!

Wow I loved our lunch here. The food was so delicious and plenty of vegetarian options. I particularly enjoyed the miso cabbage. Their wine selection also has some delicious options. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful as it sits right on the river. Plenty of natural light and good vibes :)
